    • Hyundai augmented reality system will take navigation and driver information to the next level

You have heard of AR or augmented reality where what you see in the real world is augmented by a computer generated readout. This is much more interactive than a HUD (heads up display) and capable of generating far more information on the fly.

For example, the system can detect possible collision threats in real time and highlight them on your windshield. It could potentially immediately signal which direction to turn or head towards should a road be closed or if there is an accident.

The uses are only limited by imagination and programming.

This is not some far off technological fantasy either. Hyundai is already demonstrating the technology which should debut on the G80 Genesis.

      Very, very trick.

Looks like a video game. I think I will try and avoid this in one of my vehicles for as long as possible.
